Knitting and Dishcloths

I love to knit. I taught myself how, with some help from my mom, when I was about 14. I've tried a few sweaters, and baby stuff, but I'm never happy with the way I sew it together, so I pretty much stick to simple things. Here's a pic of a dish cloth that I made recently. And the beginning of one I just started. I like to work on these while I watch TV.

Well now that's SOMEthing! I've never heard of knitted dish clothes -- but I bet they work real well! And you can certainly make them match your kitchen! Cool.... maybe even I could learn to do that. I don't "knit" - I crochet! :)

pssssst.... where'd that OTHER blog go?

Other blog? huh? *grin* All gone. LOL Obviously I lost my motivation as quickly as I got it. Kinda sweeping up the cobwebs, getting ready to go to work. I need less to do that, not more. Ya know?

ewwwwwwww, knitting! I could never get farther than to put the first row on (and I can't even remember what that is called.) I bet those are super tho. And last forever!! (are dishcloths knitted with a heavy cotton then?--neat idea)

Yep, heavy kitchen cotton. Made just for dishcloths, etc. They go in the washer and dryer just great. And it's called 'casting on'. :) But you crochet. That's fun too!
