A Finished Apron!

Mom's reversible apron is finished. It wasn't as easy as I expected, but I had fun with it anyway. I even managed to sew the ties on correctly the first time, so that they matched the side of the fabric they were sewn to.

Here's a close up of the fabric. It's Champaigne Gardens (Cream Small Calico & Calico Stripe) by Faye Burgos for Marcus Brothers. The pattern is Mary Mulari's Reversible Apron (www.marymulari.com).

Oh, that turned out so cute.
Now you are making me want to sew again.

Oh that is just sooooo cute! Your mom is going to LOVE it, I know! All your little projects had me looking around at fabric at Walmart today.... but I haven't bitten the bullet yet! LOL! Actually - I really WOULD like to sew again ... but I don't have ANYWHERE in this house to set up my sewing machine. I can't even use the kitchen table anymore because it's always being used for homework, games and kid projects!

Oh what perfect colors, and ya know...I really like the print too, very reminscent of the 'old' pillow shams my mom had. I bet your mother is really going to like what you did for her! (Hey, if she doesn't like it I know a certain lady by the sea that will take it off her hands.)

I really enjoy coming here to see your blog entries and watch the progression of your projects.
